Missing Persons

Are you worried about a loved one?

Police in Alberta define missing persons using the following terminology:

Missing Person

Anyone reported to the police or by the police whose whereabouts are unknown, whatever the circumstances of their disappearance, and they are considered missing until located (RCMP (Alberta), 2012).

Long Term Missing Person

The individual is still missing six months after the initial missing persons report was taken.
